President's Message

This November we all need to vote for change in the White House. For the past eight long years we've put up with the attacks against working people, a sagging economy and the skyrocketing cost of health care. Now is the time to vote for change, and that change will come when you vote for Barack Obama.

As our General President Jim Hoffa said recently, "Barack Obama understands the challenges working people face every day. He is the candidate in the best position to lead our movement to restore the American dream for working people in this country".

We don't need four more years of another politician who is in the same league as George W. Bush. We need a fresh start and a president who has an understanding of working class values that made this country strong.

Barack Obama has promised to renegotiate NAFTA and other deals that gave big business a reason to run out of our country and hire workers who will work for pennies.

I urge you to vote for Barack Obama on November 4, 2008. By electing Barack Obama we will take back the White House so that it will serve the people again. Barack Obama is change we can believe in.
